Memphis-Inspired Postmodern Pedestal Table, 1980s
A postmodern pedestal table from the 1980s, composed of a central stainless-steel base and a black laminate top with a green geometric decoration evoking the Memphis aesthetic.
The table was originally part of a nautical interior installation, as evidenced by its mounting base. Its proportions now allow it to be used easily as a pedestal or side table.
In good overall vintage condition. The top has a few fine surface scratches from use, and the stainless steel has some light superficial marks, all consistent with the age and use of the piece. The structure is sound and stable.
A distinctive piece with a strongly 1980s design, equally at home in a contemporary interior or a more eclectic, collector-oriented setting.
