French Tripod Pedestal Table in Solid Oak
A small French tripod pedestal table in solid oak, resting on three elegant twisted legs.
Both rustic and highly architectural in design, it recalls creations by Charles Dudouyt and, more broadly, the revival of French vernacular furniture during the 1930s and 1940s.
The restraint of its circular top contrasts with the sculptural character of its base, giving the piece a singular, timeless presence.
The wood has a beautiful old patina and signs of use consistent with its age.
It may be used as a side table, sofa-end table or small display pedestal.
