Pair of French wall consoles in carved and painted wood, each depicting a winged female figure supporting a shelf.

Their sculptural composition combines a Neoclassical vocabulary with the stylised lines of the Art Deco period. The outstretched wings form an architectural structure around the figures, while the restrained, graphic treatment gives the pair a striking presence.

Original cream-painted finish with a beautiful patina and signs of age and use.
