This folding chair combines a blackened wrought-iron frame with a thick leather seat and backrest, made using traditional saddle-stitching techniques.

Its base, formed from curved and crossed flat iron bars, gives the chair a silhouette that is both light and sculptural. The contrast between the rigour of the metal and the warmth of the patinated leather creates a particularly refined presence.

Through its combination of blackened wrought iron and saddle-stitched leather, the chair belongs to a French tradition of refined artisanal furniture. It recalls the work of mid-20th-century decorative metalworkers such as François Thevenin, or certain designs by Jacques Adnet, while retaining a more handcrafted, Mediterranean character.

Folding by design, it combines decorative quality with practical use. Its timeless aesthetic allows it to sit equally well in a contemporary interior, a country house or a more eclectic decorative scheme.

The leather has developed a beautiful patina of use, which fully contributes to the charm of the piece.
