Here, this influence is expressed through the stone itself: the stem has a textured, bark-like finish, echoed along the edges of the tabletop and base.

The silhouette retains the formal balance of a small column, while the carved surface lends it an organic character. The circular top appears to crown a stem, punctuated by a rounded collar. The textured areas catch the light and contrast with the polished surfaces, revealing the cream, honey and pink tones of the onyx, interspersed with grey veining.

This interplay between architectural composition and botanical suggestion gives the piece its distinctive character.
