The scene brings together the grape harvest, music and the Dionysian world of vines, wine and celebration.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDelicately modelled in low relief, the work is distinguished by its slender figures and the almost choreographic rhythm of its composition. Its ivory-white finish and subtly irregular tones evoke the appearance of an ancient frieze fragment.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eProbably made in the early 20th century, this cast belongs to the tradition of reproductions after the Antique produced by sculpture workshops and schools of fine arts. Its hollow construction incorporates two sturdy metal fittings on the reverse for wall mounting.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGood overall condition considering its age. Irregular surface, light staining, signs of age and minor chips. A larger chip is present along the upper edge, close to one of the fittings.
